Short answers. Each links to the full guide.

## About requests

**How does Car-Storage.ca work?**

You send your car details and what you need. We check indoor buildings, garages and lots in your city and email you the options that fit.

**Is it free?**

Yes, sending a request is free and there is no obligation.

**Do you own the storage?**

No. We find space in buildings, garages, self-storage facilities and lots, and send you the options.

**Which cities do you cover?**

All of Canada, with the most options in Ontario. See [locations](https://car-storage.ca/locations/).

## Storage and prices

**How much does car storage cost?**

Outdoor from $65/month, indoor from $110/month, heated from $150/month, before tax. See [the cost guide](https://car-storage.ca/guides/car-storage-cost-canada/).

**When should I book winter storage?**

September or October for indoor and heated space. See [winter car storage](https://car-storage.ca/storage/winter-car-storage/).

**Indoor or outdoor?**

Outdoor with a good cover is fine for many modern cars. Indoor suits summer cars, classics and anything you plan to keep. See [indoor vs outdoor](https://car-storage.ca/guides/indoor-vs-outdoor-car-storage/).

**Do I need insurance on a stored car?**

Most facilities ask for it, and rules differ by province. See [insurance while stored](https://car-storage.ca/guides/car-insurance-while-in-storage/).

**Can I leave the car on my street all winter?**

In most cities, no. See [street rules by city](https://car-storage.ca/guides/can-i-leave-my-car-on-the-street-in-winter/).
