# Storage for your summer car

The MX-5, the Mustang, the 911, the convertible you only drive from May. In winter it needs a dry place, a battery plan and someone to bring it back in spring. Send the car details and we find storage that suits it.

## Summer car checklist

- Fill up and add stabilizer: A full tank leaves less room for moisture. Run the engine a few minutes to get the stabilizer through.
- Change the oil if it is due: Old oil holds acids that sit on bearings all winter.
- Set the tires: Inflate to the upper end of the range on the door sticker to limit flat spots.
- Soft top up and dry: Store a convertible with the top closed, clean and fully dry.

## Summer car questions

**Can someone pick the car up from my condo?**

Yes. Ask for [pickup and delivery](https://car-storage.ca/services/car-pickup-and-delivery/). A flatbed suits low cars that scrape on ramps.

**Can I start it once a month?**

Short runs that never warm the engine do more harm than good. A battery tender and a stabilized tank are better. If you have access and can drive it 20 minutes on a dry day, that is fine.

**When should it come out?**

After the spring street sweep, when the salt is gone. In most of Ontario that is mid to late April.
