Above freezing all winter

Heated and climate-controlled car storage

Heated storage keeps the building above freezing. Climate-controlled storage also manages humidity. Both protect paint, rubber, leather and electronics from the swings that cause condensation. Send your car details and we find heated space near you.

Who heated storage is for

Classic and collector cars

Old rubber, chrome and lacquer suffer most from freeze-thaw and damp. See classic car storage.

Exotics and high-end sports cars

Expensive to repair and often with batteries that drain fast. See exotic car storage.

Convertibles

Soft tops and seals stay more supple in a warm building.

Owners who work on the car

A heated space is the only place to do winter work, if the facility allows it.

Heated storage questions

Is heated storage necessary in Canada?

Not for most daily cars. It matters for older cars, expensive cars and cars stored for a long time. In Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg, where the cold is deepest, the price gap is smaller.

Does heated storage stop condensation?

It reduces it. Condensation forms when cold metal meets warmer, humid air. Climate-controlled space also manages humidity, which helps more.

Do I still need a battery tender?

Yes for anything over a couple of months. Modern cars draw power even when parked. Ask for a spot with an outlet.
