Storage for your summer car

The MX-5, the Mustang, the 911, the convertible you only drive from May. In winter it needs a dry place, a battery plan and someone to bring it back in spring. Send the car details and we find storage that suits it.

Summer car checklist

Fill up and add stabilizer

A full tank leaves less room for moisture. Run the engine a few minutes to get the stabilizer through.

Change the oil if it is due

Old oil holds acids that sit on bearings all winter.

Set the tires

Inflate to the upper end of the range on the door sticker to limit flat spots.

Soft top up and dry

Store a convertible with the top closed, clean and fully dry.

Battery

Tender on, or battery out and charged at home. See storage preparation.

Insurance

Ask about reduced coverage while stored. See insurance while stored.

What it costs

Starting prices in CAD before tax, from published storage rates and market estimates, October 2026. The facility, your car and the dates set the final price.

Summer car questions

Can someone pick the car up from my condo?

Yes. Ask for pickup and delivery. A flatbed suits low cars that scrape on ramps.

Can I start it once a month?

Short runs that never warm the engine do more harm than good. A battery tender and a stabilized tank are better. If you have access and can drive it 20 minutes on a dry day, that is fine.

When should it come out?

After the spring street sweep, when the salt is gone. In most of Ontario that is mid to late April.
