Indoor, by the season

Motorcycle storage

A bike takes little space but needs the same care: a dry place, fuel stabilizer, a battery tender and someone to bring it back in spring if you ask. Send the bike details and we find a spot near you.

Before the bike goes in

Fuel

Fill the tank and add stabilizer, or drain carbureted bikes as the manual says.

Battery

A tender, or the battery out and kept charged at home.

Chain

Clean and lube it so it does not rust in place.

Tires

Set the pressure. A stand takes weight off them.

Cover

A breathable cover, never a plastic tarp.

Motorcycle questions

Can I store a motorcycle in a regular storage unit?

Often yes, in a 5 x 10 or 10 x 10 unit, if the facility allows vehicles. Many ask for registration and insurance, and some limit fuel in the tank.

Can you pick up the bike?

Ask for pickup in the request. Bikes travel on a trailer or in an enclosed van with soft straps.

What else should I do?
