November to April, one request
Winter car storage
A summer car, a convertible or a second car does not need to sit in the snow for five months. Tell us the car, the city and how much protection you want, and we find a spot with room for it this winter.

What to settle before you book
Dates
Most winter terms run November to April. Some facilities sell a fixed season, others month to month. A fixed season is often cheaper per month.
Battery
Five months without driving will flatten most batteries. Ask whether there is power for a battery tender, or plan to take the battery home. See storage preparation.
Insurance
Many facilities ask for comprehensive coverage while the car is stored. Some provinces let you drop road coverage. See insurance while stored.
Access
Can you visit the car in February? Some buildings allow it by appointment, some not at all until spring.
Getting it there
Drive it in before the first salt, or ask for pickup. A flatbed suits low, classic or non-running cars.

Winter storage questions
When should I book winter car storage?
September or October. Indoor and heated space near big cities fills by the first snow. Later requests usually find outdoor or covered space, sometimes farther out.
Should I store my car outside for the winter?
It works with a good cover, a full tank, a battery plan and a fenced lot. Indoor storage avoids snow, salt dust and rodents. See storing a car outside in winter.
What should I do to the car before storage?
Wash off the salt, fill the tank with stabilizer, set the tire pressure, deal with the battery and block rodent entry points. Full list in the winter storage checklist.
Can I leave the car on my street instead?
In most cities, not for a whole winter. Overnight bans, snow clearing and time limits apply. See street rules by city.
