How to compare car storage quotes
Two quotes with the same monthly price can be very different. These are the questions that separate them. Ask each facility the same ones and write the answers down.

Access
When can I get in? Is it by appointment or with a code? How much notice for pickup?
Insurance
Do I have to show proof of insurance? What does the facility’s own cover include, if any? See insurance while in storage.
Battery and power
Is there an outlet at the space for a battery tender or an EV charger? Is there a fee?
Pests
What is done about rodents?
Security
Is there fencing, a gate or cameras? Who has keys or codes?
Contract term
Month to month or a fixed term? What is the notice to leave? What if I collect the car early?
Deposit and payment
How much up front? Is the deposit refundable? When is the bill due?
Height and size limits
Will a lifted truck, a van or a roof rack fit through the door and in the space?
What is included
Tax, administration fees, pickup, spring prep. Ask for a total, not a headline rate.
